Learn

Our mission is to introduce experienced and passionate game developers from Seattle’s elite gaming studios to students and youth who want to learn about the gaming industry. This isn’t the Disney version; we keep it real so that students find out what it’s really like to make games and to work in this thriving industry. This way, you can make an educated decision, knowing for sure whether or not this career path is right for you.   You’ll get anecdotes from experienced industry professionals and learn about the trials and tribulations of game development, as well as the creative process. You will leave the Game Experience more aware of what area of this industry particularly excites you, knowing how games are made, and whether or not a career in game development is right for you.

LIFE CYCLE LEARNING

In this program you will learn what it takes to create a game from start to finish and you will work in small groups on a real game development project simulating what you learn in each section of the course. Our accomplished instructors will show you what they and other top gaming studios can create with their software and talents—and then you’ll participate in individual and group exercises focused on each aspect of our course learning.
